The event aims to celebrate and promote the diversity of local horticulture, bringing together plant enthusiasts from all walks of life. It also serves as a platform for garden owners, collectors, breeders, and nurseries across the country to connect, share information, and expand their networks.

The ceremonial ribbon-cutting was led by QC Parks Development and Administration Department (PDAD) head Mr. Arch Red Avelino, BPI Assistant Director, Dr. Herminigilda A. Gabertan, President of the Philippine Orchid Society, Ms. Susan Lee, Ms. Vangie Go, Ms. Vicky Jimenez, Mr. Fred Salud, Dr. Ray Lo, Atty. Rudy Sanidad, and Ms. Letty Ligon.

The DA-BPI, through the BPI Crop Research and Production Support Division (BPI-CRPSD) and the National Plant Quarantine Services Division (BPI-NPQSD), is proud to participate in the event by distributing free seeds, seedlings, and informative IEC materials to both visitors and park-goers.
