The DA-Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI) just wrapped up another blooming success of a seminar on Plant Nursery Establishment and Plant Nursery Accreditation last April 10, 2025, held at the BPI Mushroom Training Room.

The seminar was hosted by the Crop Research and Production Support Division (CRPSD), which put together presentations and hands-on activities for aspiring entrepreneurs and agricultural enthusiasts.

First up, Noli Garcia guided the attendees on the requirements for establishing a Nursery and Plant Propagation. Then, Diana SJ. Tabudlong explained to them the guidelines on Plant Nursery Accreditation and Certification. Finally, Rolando Villa demonstrated Asexual and Sexual Propagation techniques, such as grafting and marcotting. Aside from the knowledge and skills, attendees were able to take home free seeds, free shirts, and a certificate of participation.

This seminar offered a chance to learn about plant nursery establishment and accreditation requirements, ultimately aiming to boost a sustainable Philippine plant industry with quality-based planting materials and economic opportunities for nursery operators.
