Growing Success, Harvested at the Plant Nursery Training

An enriching Plant Nursery Establishment and Accreditation training was conducted on June 11, 2025, at the Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI) Mushroom Training Room, led by the Crop Research and Production Support Division (CRPSD). Following this successful event, preparations are now underway for the upcoming Urban Gardening and Plant Propagation seminar on June 25.

The training gathered nursery operators and agricultural enthusiasts who aim to produce high-quality planting materials and explore economic opportunities in plant nursery operations.

Participants gained valuable knowledge from experts: Diana SJ. Tabudlong discussed the guidelines for Plant Nursery Accreditation; Noli P. Garcia presented the requirements for nursery establishment and plant propagation; while Rolando P. Villa and Ernie Lito Bollosa demonstrated asexual and sexual propagation techniques. To further support the participants, certificates and free seeds were distributed after the training.

Through this hands-on learning experience, participants became more confident and capable of establishing accredited nurseries, producing high-quality planting materials that contribute to the growth of the agriculture sector.
