Participants from the Luzon Cluster took part in a hands-on pomological evaluation as part of a refresher training for plant material inspectors and nursery evaluators.
A field practicum was held at the nursery and certified cashew mother tree plantation, home to over 200 mother trees, at the DA-Palawan Agricultural Center in Puerto Princesa City.
Conducted on April 23–24 at Palawan State University, the training was spearheaded by the Bureau of Plant Industry – National Seed Quality Services Division (BPI-NSQS) and attended by 29 participants from Region CAR to Region V.
The activity aimed to enhance the competencies of designated and deputized inspectors and evaluators in ensuring quality plant materials.
