17th Philippine Food Expo 2025

The Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI), together with the National Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Program (DA-NUPAP), is proud to participate in the opening of the 17th Philippine Food Expo 2025 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on April 4, 2025.
­
The event commenced with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Senator Cynthia Villar, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food; DA Assistant Secretary and Special Assistant for Export Development, Philip C. Young, Philippine Food Processors and Exporters Organization (PHILFOODEX) President Mr. Ruben L. See, Key officials, and Dignitaries.

On behalf of DA Secretary Francisco “Kiko” Tiu Laurel Jr., ASec Young delivered his special message and reaffirmed the DA and the government’s commitment to supporting and developing the country’s food industry. “We continue to implement policies and programs that enhance food production, promote sustainable agricultural practices, and encourage partnership. We hope to build a stronger and more competitive food sector by promoting farm-to-table food system, food safety standards, and market expansion methods” he said.
­
The Philippine Food Expo is one of the largest food industry trade shows in the Philippines organized by the PHILFOODEX. It aims to provide a platform for food manufacturers, exporters, suppliers, distributors, and retailers, to showcase their products and services to a wider audience.
­
The BPI and NUPAP staff distributed a variety of vegetable seeds, seedlings, and informational materials to visitors. They also addressed inquiries about BPI services and offered guidance on planting techniques.
­
The 17th Philippine Food Expo will run from April 4-6, 2025,10:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
