The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI), through its Crop Research and Production Support Division (CRPSD), held a free face-to-face seminar on Urban Gardening and Plant Propagation today, February 26, 2025, at the Mushroom Training Room in BPI Malate.
Over 80 participants, including students from Cavite and agricultural enthusiasts from Bulacan, Quezon Province, Pasig, and other areas in the country, attended the training, making it the most popular so far.
Clyde Domingo led the urban gardening session, while Rolando Villa shared his expertise in plant propagation.
This seminar equips participants with the knowledge and skills to enhance food security, improve access to fresh produce, and foster a deeper connection with nature within urban communities.
Dont miss another session of Urban Gardening and Plant Nursery Establishment and Plant Accreditation seminar on March 12. Women and Women’s groups will be prioritized in celebration of the National Women’s Month. We will also include topics about the propagation techniques and the benefits of indigenous vegetables.
