Today, July 20, 2026, during the Flag Raising Ceremony, the BPI – Plant Product Safety Services Division (PPSSD) Baguio formally awarded the PhilGAP Certification to the Bureau of Plant Industry – Baguio National Crop Research, Development and Production Support Center (BPI-BNCRDPSC).

This recognition comes after the successful PhilGAP inspection conducted on June 2, 2026, where the SMART Greenhouse and Organic Production Area of the Center underwent a comprehensive site assessment to verify compliance with the Philippine Good Agricultural Practices (PhilGAP) standards.

The certification reflects BPI-BNCRDPSC’s unwavering commitment to producing safe, high-quality agricultural products while promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible farming practices. It also highlights the Center’s dedication to excellence in research, development, and production in support of Philippine agriculture.
