The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI), in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPhil) and the Department of Trade and Industry – Supply Chain and Logistics Group (DTI-SCLG), facilitated the export of 100 kilograms of fresh Guimaras mangoes on July 5, 2026.

The export, amounting to USD 500, consists of Geographically Indicated (GI) certified mangoes, a label that guarantees their authentic origin and premium quality.

These mangoes will be featured at the WIPO Assembly in Geneva and shared with Philippine embassies and missions in Switzerland, Norway, and Sweden.

The shipment will be divided among important diplomatic locations:

Distribution details:

• 50 Kg – WIPO, Geneva, Switzerland

• 10 Kg – UN Philippine Mission, Geneva, Switzerland

• 10 Kg – Philippine Mission to the World Trade Organization/Philippine Trade and Investment Center, Geneva, Switzerland

• 10 Kg – Philippine Embassy in Bern, Switzerland

• 10 Kg – Oslo, Norway

• 10 Kg – Stockholm, Sweden

This international exposure will not only highlight the mangoes’ sweet flavor and quality, but also create new opportunities for the Philippine economy, the local mango industry, and the hardworking farmers who grow them.
