June 29, 2026 | The Professional Regulatory Board of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (PRBABE) conducted a monitoring and inspection visit at the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI) to assess the Bureau’s compliance with the prevailing laws, rules, and regulations governing the practice of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, as well as the requirements of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
The monitoring covered the Bureau’s adherence to regulatory requirements, including the employment and engagement of duly licensed Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers, compliance with applicable professional practice standards, observance of the provisions of Republic Act No. 10915 (Philippine Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Act of 2016), the implementation of engineering-related functions and services, and the maintenance of records and documents relevant to professional practice and regulatory compliance.
Following the inspection, the PRBABE confirmed that the BPI satisfactorily complied with all applicable regulatory requirements and met all evaluation criteria, demonstrating its commitment to upholding professional standards and ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations governing the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering profession.
In recognition of the Bureau’s continued support and commitment to professional development and public service, the PRBABE also awarded the following recognitions to the BPI:
* Certificate of Recognition for its partnership in the PAPRB Adopt-a-School Program: “Greening Metro Manila Project,” held on November 27, 2025, at Rosauro Almario Elementary School, Tondo, Manila.
* Certificate of Accreditation recognizing the BPI as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, authorizing the Bureau to implement CPD programs and activities for licensed Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers.
This successful evaluation demonstrates the Bureau’s position among leading institutions in professional compliance and progressive agricultural development.
