BPI’s 96th Anniversary Shines Bright with Talent and Team Spirit

True to the spirit of the 96th Anniversary celebration, the Bureau of Plant Industry’s Fellowship Night and Mister and Miss BPI Pageant last February 12, 2026, highlighted unity within the institution. Through a platform that showcased intelligence, elegance, teamwork, and agricultural awareness, the activity symbolized the continuing transfer of stewardship to a new generation of public servants.

The fellowship night brought together employees from various offices as they showcased their talents and strengthened camaraderie, revealing one of the Bureau’s enduring strengths, its people.

Culminating the program, Ms. Charez P. Arevalo of the Baguio National Crop Research, Development and Production Support Center, and Mr. Duke Byron C. Castillo of the Crop Pest Management Division were named Mister and Miss BPI 2026. In this capacity, they will participate in selected Bureau activities throughout the year in support of BPI programs and advocacies.
­
The evening further showcased the creative and collaborative spirit of BPI employees through an inter-office dance competition. Offices presented themed performances that demonstrated talent, teamwork, and camaraderie across generations. At the end of the evening, united as One BPI Davao, consisting of Davao NCRDPS Center, NPQSD-Davao, NSQCS-Davao, and SPAL-Davao, emerged as the winner of the dance competition, a testament to the power of unity, collaboration, and a shared vision of excellence.
­
Moving forward, the Bureau continues to strengthen initiatives that promote inclusive employee engagement, youth participation, and teamwork in support of its programs and service to the agricultural sector.
