The Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) joined the 7th edition of Plant Convergence 2026 held at the Flower Garden, Quezon Memorial Circle today, January 30, 2026.

This global gathering brought together plant enthusiasts, researchers, growers, and innovators to celebrate the diversity, science, and artistry of plants.

­

Celebrity influencer, actress, and “plant tita” Ms. Aubrey Miles made the opening ceremony more stunning and expressed her full support to fellow enthusiasts and in the ornamental industry.

In a message of BPI Director Gerald Glenn Panganiban, delivered by Assistant Director Ruel C. Gesmundo, BPI reaffirmed its commitment to protecting plant health, promoting sustainable production, and ensuring that our plant resources are responsibly cultivated and preserved for future generations.

As part of BPI’s support to rhe Convergence, the Crop Research and Production Support Division distributed vegetable seeds and planting materials of indigenous vegetables and herbs, while the Plant Quarantine Services Division assisted stakeholders with clearance for domestic transport (CDT) and addressed other plant quarantine-related inquiries

­

Plant Convergence will run until Sunday, Feb1 and there will be lectures, learning sessions, interactive exhibits, plant and food bazaar, plant competitions, and the unveiling of a new Monstera cultivar, among other highlights.
