The 94th Anniversary of Bureau of Plant Industry-Los Baños Center – National Crop Research, Development & Production Support Center became an even more meaningful milestone as Dr. Joel Adorada formally took his oath of office as Agricultural Center Chief IV, officially assuming leadership of the historic research center.

In this memorable moment, Dr. Adorada expressed his deep gratitude to the BPI management for its continued trust and support—both to the Center and to his appointment. He reaffirmed his commitment to lead BPI-LB with integrity, responsiveness, and service to farmers at the core.

In his welcome message earlier, he acknowledged the Center’s tireless work in seed production, research, and capacity building, recognizing the resilience of farmers who continue to rise despite the challenges in agriculture.

Dr. Adorada emphasized that BPI-LB, now just a few years shy of its 100th year, remains steadfast, relevant, and responsive to its mandate of ensuring the nation’s food security.
