In the 94th anniversary celebration of the Bureau of Plant Industry-Los Baños Center – National Crop Research, Development & Production Support Center (BPI-LBNCRDPSC), Director Gerald Glenn F. Panganiban, Ph.D., reminded the BPI-LB community of the heart of public service: our purpose, our people, and our everyday commitment to farmers.

He urged everyone to reflect on their “why” as public servants, emphasizing that legacy is built daily through service, resilience, and dedication.

Director Panganiban highlighted that BPI remains strong because of its people who continue to see opportunities despite challenges, complement one another’s strengths, and work with collaborators across the value chain.

“Minsan lang tayo dadaan sa mundong ito—kaya ibigay natin ang ating makakaya araw-araw upang maging kapaki-pakinabang na kawani. Ang pagiging kawani ng pamahalaan ay isang marangal na hanap-buhay.”

As BPI Los Baños continues its work in research, development, and production support, the legacy of 94 years is carried forward by employees who serve with purpose, integrity, and heart.
