The Bureau of Plant Industry – Los Baños National Crop Research, Development and Production Support Center (BPI-LBNCRDPSC) successfully conducted their 3rd Quarter Training of Trainers (TOT) titled “Plant Material Production, Certification, and Nursery Accreditation” on September 30, 2025, at BPI-LBNCRDPSC, Timugan, Los Baños, Laguna.

A total of 42 agricultural stakeholders, comprising 18 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and 24 local farmers from CALABARZON, benefited from a training on plant propagation and nursery certification. The training, supported by the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP), aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills on propagation techniques and acquaint on plant and nursery certification guidelines.

Resource speakers Mr. Ernie Lito Y. Bollosa of BPI-CRPSD and Ms. Lorichelle Mascariña-Lunas of NSQCS Region IV-A, shared their expertise on nursery establishment and management, and plant nursery accreditation and plant material certification, respectively. The training provided hands-on experience and insights, enabling participants to improve their productivity and contribute to the growth of the high-value crops sector in the region.
