Through this program, farmers learned best practices in mango cultivation and production, helping them increase their yield and income. Trainers also shared techniques that improve fruit quality, extend the lifespan of mango trees, and enhance farmers’ capacity to sustain mango production, ultimately improving the livelihood of local communities.

In Ilocos Norte, the first part of the training was successfully held and attended by 30 enthusiastic participants. The event was highlighted by the presence and expertise of Ricardo Tolentino, widely known as the recognized “Mango King.” His participation and sharing of his extensive knowledge and prestige in the field provided immense value and inspiration to the attendees, especially concerning advanced tree management and post-harvest handling.

Meanwhile, in Pangasinan, 40 farmers attended to benefit from the lessons taught. The gathering was also graced by a distinguished resource speaker, Pedro Corpuz, the current President of the La Union Mango Growers Association. In his speech, Corpuz strongly emphasized the critical role of collaboration and regional effort. He called on the farmers to unite and work collaboratively to collectively strengthen and advance the entire mango sector in the region, ensuring a more stable supply chain and higher income for all stakeholders.
