The Bureau of Plant Industry – Plant Quarantine Service (BPI-PQS), Region 10, successfully held its Team Development Training on June 20–22, 2025, in the highlands of Bukidnon. The two-day workshop brought together personnel from PQS-CDO, PQS-Iligan, and PQS-Ozamiz for a meaningful capacity-building and team development experience.
In his opening message, OIC-Regional Manager Arnold S. Dela Cruz Jr. emphasized the theme, “Honoring the Past, Treasuring the Present, and Shaping the Future,” reminding the team of the value of their shared mission and the power of collaboration.
Participants engaged in participatory sessions on team development, communication, leadership, and conflict resolution, alongside interactive activities like Build the Tower, Egg Relay, and the crowd-favorite Name the Animal, which combined learning with lighthearted and strengthened non-verbal communication.
Dr. Lester B. Apag, the resource speaker, led the group through sessions that enhanced strategic thinking and leadership values essential to public service.
The training concluded with the presentation of team action plans, personal commitment pledges, and a certificate awarding ceremony, leaving the team energized and united.
“This training reminded me why I chose government service—to work with people, grow with people, and serve with purpose,” shared one participant.
With renewed motivation and stronger bonds, PQS Region 10 moves forward with a deeper sense of unity, purpose, and commitment to public service.
“Through unity and purpose, we honor our past, treasure our present, and shape a stronger future—together as one team, one goal, one PQS Region 10 family.”
